Article of Faith #3
We believe that through the Atonement of Christ all mankind may be saved by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
I have started this blog post at least 3 times. Each time I get more and more into the Word trying to find the stuff that would explain this one. It is exhausting. I am lazy by nature and when I read mostly I just want God to show up, tell me hi, tell me I am loved, remind me that I am part of the great commision today, that I'm not perfect nor can I ever be, but that Jesus died for me so that I can be happy.
So in my sleepless efforts to be brilliant and scriptural I have decided to just rewrite this one so you can see for yourself tha hypocrisy. Here goes. If this were written by a true believer in Christ it would sound something like this:
We believe that BECAUSE of the Atonement of Christ, ALL mankind that believes WILL be saved.
PERIOD.
Joe it just isn't that hard. But we know that the enemy wants to keep us so busy doing, that we have no attention to give our beautiful glorious God. The attention is all on us doing. So relax ye Mormons, you got it all mixed up here, again, Jesus is Lord! Jesus is Lord! He alone has the power to save you, And that is as simple as that. Love, R:)
